Built to be taken by everyone.
Last updated 27 August 2026
We are building a school for people who have been quietly excluded from other rooms. That commitment is worth very little if the course itself excludes them, so here is exactly what we have built, what we will arrange on request, and what is not solved yet.
What is built in, for everyone
- Every segment can be listened to. A read-aloud control sits at the top of each screen, with adjustable speed. Nobody has to ask for it and nobody has to disclose anything to use it.
- No forced waiting. There is no timer that blocks you from moving forward. You read or listen at your speed, not ours.
- Nothing depends on attending live. Every live session is recorded, and no part of your enrollment, completion or certificate turns on being in a room at a set time.
- Short segments. The material is built in small pieces rather than long blocks, which helps if sustained attention is hard, if you are working in the gaps of a day, or if you are studying on a phone.
- Text that scales. The platform uses relative sizing, so your browser or phone text-size setting works normally. Nothing is locked to a fixed pixel size.
- Keyboard navigation. The player, the practice questions and the exam can all be driven from a keyboard.
- Explanations, not just marks. Every question tells you why an answer is right, in writing, so a wrong answer is never a dead end.
What we will arrange on request
Tell us what you need and we will arrange it. You do not have to justify it, and you do not have to send us medical records to be taken seriously.
- Extended time on our own practice tests and end-of-course examination.
- A distraction-reduced setting for any in-person session.
- Materials in an alternative format, including large print and plain-text versions of any worksheet.
- A reader, a scribe, or a note-taker for live sessions.
- A different pace, without penalty, including moving to a later session.
- Fingerprinting arranged at a location that works for you, if the on-site session does not.
Email cara@inspirednooks.com or say so on your application. Requests are handled by Cara personally and are not shared with other students.
The state examination is a separate request, and this one matters. We do not administer the Florida licensing examination and we cannot grant accommodations for it. Testing accommodations for the state exam must be requested from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation and its testing vendor, in advance, before you schedule your exam date.
Ask for that early, because approval takes time and a request made after you book your date usually means moving it. When we sit down to choose your exam date, tell us if you need accommodations and we will build the timeline around the request instead of around the date.
What is not solved yet, honestly
- Read-aloud uses your browser's voice rather than a recorded human narration. It is clear and it works offline, but it is not a performance. Recorded audio is on the build list.
- Video is not built yet. When short topic videos arrive they will ship with captions and a transcript from the first day. We would rather have no video than uncaptioned video.
- We have not completed a formal WCAG audit. We have built to those principles, but we will not claim a conformance level we have not tested. If you hit something that does not work with your screen reader or your setup, tell us and we will fix it rather than explain it.
Our obligations
We do not discriminate on the basis of disability, and we provide reasonable accommodations consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. We also do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, familial status, handicap, or any other class protected by federal or Florida law, including the Florida Fair Housing Act, which you will study in this course and are expected to live by afterward.
If we get it wrong
Tell Cara directly first, because most things are fixed the same week. If that does not resolve it, complaints about a Florida real estate school may be directed to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
